Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area

Spending the night at the airport
Düsseldorf airport operates with many flights and connections. Although terminals are open 24 hours a day, the enclosure is usually pretty quiet at night. However, passengers will have to remain in the public area once the security checkpoint closes.
Where to rest: There are seats without armrests only airside. In the public area, you can find comfortable benches in some of the coffee shops. You can also make use of one of the VIP lounges, which provide more amenities and privacy, although they close at night. On the other hand, there are two hotels next to the airport, and some accommodations in the surroundings provide shuttle services.
Baggage: The left-luggage service only operates between 8:30 am and 4:00 pm. This means you will have to keep your baggage with you until check-in.
Eating and drinking: Two options open 24 hours a day.
Restrooms: Showers available only inside the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: Free access.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing areas, meditation room.
