Parking
Afonso Pena International Airport features an official parking system managed by Indigo (which absorbed the former operator PareBem). The complex offers more than 4,000 spaces divided into three sectors based on distance and coverage type, operating 24 hours a day.
Garage Building (Garage A)
This is the most comfortable and exclusive option. It is a covered building located just 50 meters from the boarding area, providing quick and weather-protected access.
Parking B
Situated about 70 meters from the terminal. It offers covered spaces (with shading structures) and outdoor spaces. It is a practical alternative with mid-range rates.
Parking C (Economy)
Located 300 meters from the terminal. It combines covered and open-air areas. It is the cheapest option for long stays, ideal if you don't mind walking a few minutes to the main building.
Reservations and App (Indigo Neo):
It is recommended to manage your stay through the Indigo Neo platform (website or app). Booking online guarantees your space and provides access to discounts compared to walk-in rates.
Facilities for passengers with special needs
Afonso Pena International Airport (CWB), managed by CCR Aeroportos, features a modern infrastructure adapted to ensure universal accessibility. The facilities comply with Brazilian technical standards and ANAC Resolution 280, facilitating transit for people with reduced mobility and special needs.
Reduced Mobility
The terminal features access ramps, spacious elevators, adapted restrooms, accessible telephones, and tactile ground surface indicators for visually impaired passengers.
Boarding and Disembarking:
Most flights operate via boarding bridges (jet bridges). For remote positions, the airport uses Ambulifts (lift vehicles), which allow for safe boarding and disembarking from the aircraft without needing to use stairs.
Requesting Assistance:
Wheelchairs and personal assistance are the responsibility of the airline. It is mandatory to request this service at the time of booking or at least 48 hours before the flight.
Hidden Disabilities
Sunflower Lanyard: The airport recognizes and promotes the use of the "Sunflower Lanyard." This badge allows staff to discreetly identify passengers with non-visible disabilities (autism, anxiety, dementia), providing them with more patience, support, and guidance during airport processes.
Priority by Law
In Brazil, preferential service is a right guaranteed by law. Priority is given in check-in, security screening, and boarding lines to:
- People over 60 years old.
- Pregnant and breastfeeding women.
- People with infants (under 2 years old).
- People with reduced mobility or obesity.
Families
For those traveling with babies, the airport provides baby care rooms (fraldários) equipped with changing tables and nursing chairs, located in both the public area and the boarding lounge.
