Spending the night at the airport

Aspen Airport is a small regional facility. While the terminal building remains open overnight, it is not optimized for sleeping and offers very limited comfort for overnight stays.

Resting Areas

Seating throughout the ticketing and boarding areas is fitted with fixed armrests, preventing travelers from stretching out horizontally. Many stranded travelers sleep on the floor with a sleeping mat or blanket; warm clothing is essential due to cool nighttime mountain temperatures.

Overnight Services & Luggage

All food concessions and retail outlets operated by Jedediah's close overnight, so you will need to bring your own food and water. For security reasons, the airport offers no lockers or luggage storage facilities.

Safety & Recommended Options

Airport security personnel patrol the premises overnight. For early-morning departures or extended flight delays, booking a room at a nearby hotel in Aspen or Snowmass offering airport shuttle transport is strongly recommended.
