Singapore Changi Airport, opened on July 1, 1981, is the largest in Southeast Asia and one of the busiest in Asia. It is also considered one of the best in the world. It operates with international flights to numerous destinations throughout the globe.

Number of Terminals - 4 - Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4, open 24 hours a day. The free Skytrain connects terminals 1, 2 and 3 between 5:00 am and 2:30 am, with 2-minute intervals. Outside these hours there are courtesy shuttles that leave every 15 min. The transit areas are also linked through travellators. Terminal 4 is connected to Terminal 2 through a shuttle service that operates every 10-20 min.

There are car rental desks from companies Avis (Tel +65 6545 0800 / 6542 8855 / 6447 9011 / 6581 6122), Budget (Tel +65 6214 9057 / 6543 9114 / 6441 0764 / 6581 6122) and Hertz (Tel +65 6542 5300 / 6446 7211) in the Arrivals areas. They operate from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Bus - WTS Travel (Tel +65 6543 1985 / 6546 1646 / 6241 3818 / 6581 6775) operates a shuttle between the airport and most downtown hotels every 15-30 minutes. Journey time is approximately 25 min. From Monday to Friday between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm there are also shuttles to Changi Business Park (Tel +65 8661 2113).
Line 36 from Go-Ahead Singapore (Tel +65 6812 6458) runs to the city from 6:00 am to 10:50 pm, with a trip of 1 hour. It leaves from the basement of the terminals and stops at Lagoon View, Laguna Park, Mandarin Gardens, Tao Nan, Amber Garden, Esplanade, Somerset, Tang Plaza, Dhoby Ghaut, Suntec Convention Centre. Route 34 goes to Tampines and Punggol between 5:30 am and 11:45 pm.
Transtar Travel (Tel +65 6297 9009) provides transportation to Larkin Terminal, in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, from 8:15 am to 11:15 pm. A company desk can be found in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 2.
There is also a service to the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal that leaves from terminals 2 and 4 from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm (Tel +65 6546 1646).
Train - The SMRT station (Tel 1800 336 8900) is located beneath terminals 2 and 3 and services operate from 5:30 am to 11:20 pm (from 6:00 am on Sundays). To get to the city, passengers must transfer to the westbound train at Tanah Merah. Other stops include Simei, Tampines, Pasir Ris, Bedok, Kembangan, Eunos, Paya Labar, Aljunied, Kallang, Lavender, Bugis, City Hall, Tanjong Pagar, Tiong Bahru, Redhill, Queenstown, Dover, Clementi, Jurong East, Boon Lay, Joo Koon. It takes about 35 minutes to reach the city centre.
Taxi - Ranks are found on the Arrivals level of each terminal. Travel time to central Singapore is about 30 minutes. Cabs (regular or premium) have meters and surcharges are applied between 0:00 am and 6:00 am. Available operators include Citycab (Tel +65 6552 1111), Premier Taxi (Tel +65 6363 6888), Prime Taxi (Tel +65 6778 0808), SMRT Taxi (Tel +65 6555 8888) and Transcab (Tel +65 6555 3333).

South Car Park - Between Terminal 2 and JetQuay.
Facilities include elevators, ramps and accessible toilets. Wheelchairs can be requested at the medical centers (Tel +65 6543 1118). Passengers requiring special assistance should inform their airline prior to their travel. Children below 12 years old travelling alone will be escorted by personnel from the corresponding air company.
