Spending the Night at the Airport

Unlike many European airports, Palma de Mallorca Airport has a surprisingly good reputation for overnight stays, with a fairly high average comfort rating according to traveller reviews. However, since it operates many flights and there is constant movement, it is recommended to be prepared.

Important note: Passengers who need to spend the night at the premises must remain in the public area of the airport, as the security control closes during the early hours.

Where to Rest

• Many travellers have reported finding armrest-free seats, especially convenient for lying down, near gates C50-C60 (formerly gates B).
• The upper-level terrace can provide a relatively quiet spot, as can the children’s play areas, which often have floor space.
• Some cafés may have more comfortable armchairs for a short rest.
• Although a comfortable option, lounges close at night and have a maximum stay of 4 hours.

Tip: Although the experience is positive, the airport can get cold during the early morning. It is advisable to bring a blanket or sleeping bag for extra comfort.

The airport has a luggage storage service on Floor 2, but only from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm.
