Can you spend the night at the airport?

Mexico City Airport is open 24 hours, so passengers with connecting flights or early morning departures have the option to spend the night inside one of its terminals.

Where to rest?

The most suitable area for rest is the boarding area. You will need a boarding pass to access this area. If you cannot check in, you will have to stay in the public area, where seating is scarce and you will likely have to lie on the floor. It is always advisable to have an eye mask and earplugs on hand to isolate yourself from noise and lights.

Another option (paying or through a card that provides the service) is to use one of the VIP lounges, where you can access greater comfort and privacy, bathrooms with showers, etc. Some lounges are open all night.

iZzZleep sleeping capsules

An economical alternative for a more private rest are the iZzZleep sleeping capsules, located in both terminals.

Locations:

• Terminal 1: Upper floor, in the corridor connecting the long-distance bus area with the international parking lot.
• Terminal 2: Ground floor, in front of the bus terminal.

Included services: Bed with foam mattress, television, USB ports and electrical outlet, safe, ventilation, use of locker for carry-on luggage, shower (with towel, gel, and shampoo), and a complimentary bottle of water.

Stay options:

• Full night: Allows check-in from 1:00 pm and check-out until 11:00 am the next day. Can be booked in advance.
• Hourly nap (minimum 2 hours): Available from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Cannot be booked in advance, subject to availability.
• Shower: Exclusive service to shower without needing to use the capsule.

Rates: The cost for a full night is approximately $900 MXN and up. The hourly nap costs approximately $170 MXN for 2 hours (includes shower and locker). The exclusive shower service costs approximately $160 MXN.

Restrictions: Children under 12 are not admitted. Minors aged 12 to 18 must be accompanied by an adult and occupy separate capsules. Pets are not accepted.

For a longer rest, and if your budget allows, the airport has hotels. The different options are detailed below.

Is there luggage storage service?

There are 24-hour luggage storage services in both buildings, so if you have to wait to check in, you can rest lighter without the worry of having to watch your bags.

Locations and costs:

• Terminal 1: Mexicana de Lockers, location E-41 (ground floor, near gates 1 and 8). Cost from $150 to $200 pesos per 24 hours.
• Terminal 2: Viajes Kokai, locations ALL45 and ALL46 (ground floor, between gates 3 and 4). Cost from $150 to $200 pesos per 24 hours.

Requirements: You must present an official ID (voter ID or passport). A key is given and must be kept safe; in case of loss, an additional fee applies.

As an alternative, there are luggage storage services near the airport, such as Stasher, Qeepl, and Bounce.

Are there 24-hour food and drink places?

Wide gastronomic variety, with restaurants, fast-food outlets, bars, and coffee shops open 24 hours.

Does Mexico City Airport have showers?

Showers available inside the VIP lounges of both terminals and in the iZzZleep sleeping capsule facilities. The exclusive shower service at iZzZleep costs $160 MXN.

Does Mexico City Airport offer free Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi network usage is free and unlimited both in the boarding areas and in the corridors and food courts of both terminals. Connect to the 'Gratis_CDMX_Aeropuerto' network.

On the upper floor of Terminal 1 and the lower floor of Terminal 2, there are private capsules from izZzleep.

The Hilton Mexico City Airport can be accessed from level 3 of Terminal 1, while the entrance to the NH Collection Mexico City Airport T2 is located on the sixth floor of Terminal 2.

Meanwhile, the Courtyard by Marriott Mexico City Airport and the Camino Real Aeropuerto México are connected to Terminal 1 via pedestrian walkways.

In the surrounding area, you can find other options, most of them with counters inside the terminals and shuttle services for their guests.
