Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, opened on 22 January 1990, serves the city of Chongqing in the Yubei District. It operates numerous domestic flights and international routes to various destinations across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America, and Oceania.

Number of terminals - 3 - Terminal 1 (currently closed), Terminal 2A and 2B (domestic flights) and Terminal 3A (domestic and international flights). Open 24 hours a day. Terminals 2 and 3 are connected by a free shuttle bus service operating every 30 minutes from 5:00 am to 0:00 am.
Annual passenger traffic: 48.7 million passengers passed through in 2024.

The airport is located 19 km (12 miles) north of downtown Chongqing, in the central region of mainland China.

In the central area of the second floor of Terminal 3, there are offices for Avis (Tel +86 185 2343 4626) and Hertz (Tel +86 133 6838 6983), both operating 24 hours a day.
However, it is important to note that renting a car requires a Chinese driving licence. International driving permits are not accepted. The best option is to hire a car with a driver.

There are two parking areas available, with designated spaces for two-wheeled vehicles. Rates
Terminal 2 Parking Lot – Outdoor area located in front of Terminal 2.
GTC Parking – Multi-level facility in the transport centre, opposite Terminal 3. The first 15 minutes are free of charge.
Facilities for passengers with special needs
There are designated and accessible parking spaces within the premises. Airport staff also provide wheelchairs for passengers who require them, as well as assistance with check-in, security, boarding and disembarkation, and electric vehicles for transport.
