The airport features a variety of VIP lounges spread across both terminals, offering exclusive spaces for relaxation, work, and dining before boarding.

Domestic Terminal

Air New Zealand Domestic Lounge

Located on the first floor, next to gate 33. Opens one hour before the first Air New Zealand flight until the last departure of the day. Offers a self-service buffet, barista-made coffee, bar, Wi-Fi, workstations, photocopier, printer, power outlets and USB ports at most seats, magazines, TV, toilets, and showers.

Access: Airpoints Elite, Gold, Elite Partner and Koru members departing on an Air New Zealand-operated flight. Air New Zealand business class passengers also have access.

Air New Zealand Regional Lounge

Situated on level 1, above the Air New Zealand valet parking area, with runway views. Opens one hour before the first regional flight until the last departure of the day. Features a buffet, barista-made coffee, bar, Wi-Fi, magazines, TV, and varied seating areas.

Access: For Airpoints Elite, Gold, Elite Partner and Koru members departing on an Air New Zealand flight.

International Terminal

Air New Zealand International Lounge

Located on level 2, past The Loop Duty Free on the left, with escalators leading to the lounge. Opens at 4:30 am and closes after the last international flight. Offers theatre-style cooking, a full buffet, bar, barista-made coffee, Wi-Fi, workstations and printers, magazines, TV, toilets, showers, and a covered outdoor terrace with a fireplace.

Access: Airpoints Elite, Gold, Elite Partner and Koru members; Air New Zealand business class passengers. Star Alliance Gold members.

Qantas International Lounge

On level 2. Open from 4:30 am to 8:00 pm. Includes an exclusive Platinum Dining area and barista-made coffee. Also offers Wi-Fi, bar, showers, and views over the departure area.

Access: Qantas first and business class passengers; Qantas Club, Platinum and Platinum One members; Emirates Skywards Platinum members; Oneworld Emerald and Sapphire members.

Emirates Lounge

Located on level 2, open in line with Emirates flight schedules (generally from 4:30 pm). Offers a full buffet (Halal cuisine), self-service bar with wines, champagne and spirits, showers, a business centre with shared computers and printers, and Wi-Fi. Large windows with runway views.

Access: Emirates first and business class passengers; Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members.

Strata Lounge

On level 2, to the left after security control. Open from 4:30 am to 0:30 am. Offers a buffet prepared in its own kitchen using local ingredients, bar, non-alcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, workstations, a soundproof children’s play area, premium restrooms, showers with towels and amenities, and bookable private relaxation rooms. Standard stay: up to 4 hours; extended stay: up to 8 hours.

Access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass and Diners Club members; also used as a contract lounge for eligible passengers from various airlines. Paid access available via online booking or at the door (subject to availability).

 Facilities and other services

Financial Services and Connectivity

Both terminals feature ATMs located throughout their different levels. Global Exchange operates eight currency exchange points in the International Terminal, several of them open 24 hours. The airport offers free Wi-Fi in both terminals: select the "Auckland Airport" network to connect. Power outlets and USB ports for device charging are available at selected points in both terminals. You will find Spark and Vodafone SIM cards at kiosks in the arrivals area of the International Terminal.

Dining

Both terminals offer restaurants, cafés, bars, fast food outlets and convenience stores to suit all tastes. In the International Terminal, McDonald's, Allpress Espresso and Take Home Convenience remain open 24 hours. The rest of the establishments adjust their opening hours to flight schedules.

Shopping

The International Terminal houses an extensive shopping area with duty-free products at The Loop Duty Free, accessible after security and passport control in the departures area. There are also duty-free shops in the international arrivals area. In the boarding area and on the ground floor of the public area, you will find shops selling clothing, electronics, cosmetics, jewellery, perfumery, books, newspapers, accessories, art, gifts, sweets and regional products. The Domestic Terminal features convenience stores and duty-free items before security control.

Baggage

Baggage trolleys are available free of charge throughout both terminals, before security control.

Secure Travel provides luggage storage, protective wrapping and travel accessories sales in the International Terminal (next to gate 3, on the ground floor), open from 4:30 am to 11:00 pm. In the Domestic Terminal, self-service lockers are available 24/7 on the ground floor of car park R.

Lost property: The office is located on level 1 of the International Terminal, in the corridor behind Pita Pit. Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Email: [email protected].

Other Services

Medical centre: The Airport Doctors provides full medical care at the Airport Shopping Centre (near the airport).

Free showers are available at various locations: in the International Terminal, in the departures area (after security control) and in the arrivals area (near gate 11); in the Domestic Terminal, before security control (Zone B, near gate 4) and after security (near Hudson's).

Baby care and nursing rooms: Free rooms with cots and changing facilities are available in both terminals.

Prayer rooms: A non-denominational chapel is available on level 1 of the International Terminal.

Smoking area: Outdoor areas are located on the forecourts of both terminals (before security control). International transit passengers have access to the airside smoking lounge on level 2 of the International Terminal.

Meetings and workspaces: Meeting rooms can be booked in the Domestic Terminal.
