Wellington International Airport, also known as Rongotai Airport and opened on October 25, 1959, is one of the busiest in New Zealand and serves the capital of the country. It operates with domestic and international flights to Australia and other neighbouring countries.

Ride-sharing - Uber and Zoomy pick passengers up from the southern end of the terminal.

Bus - The Airport Flyer (Tel +64 4802 4100) is an express service between the airport and Lower Hutt - Queensgate that runs through downtown Wellington. It operates every 10-20 minutes Mondays through Fridays between 6:35 am to 9:25 pm and weekends from 7:00 am to 8:45 pm, and departs from the ground floor of the multi-storey car park. Journey time to the city centre is around 30 min. Around 10 min. away from the terminal you can board line 2 from Metlink (Tel +64 800 801 700), which runs to Karori, Hataitai, Kilbirnie and Seatoun. More information
Super Shuttle (Tel +64 4472 9552 / 800 748 885) is a door-to-door, shared minibus service available for all flights. It leaves from outside the baggage reclaim area.
