Transfer to/from - Tucson airport (TUS)

The airport connects smoothly to downtown Tucson in about 20 to 25 minutes via public buses, ride-hailing applications, and official taxicabs.

Ride-Hailing Apps

Vehicles from Uber, Lyft, and Turo pick up passengers directly in front of the main terminal building. To meet your driver, exit the lower baggage claim area toward the main parking lot and cross the first traffic lane; cars pick up along the first pedestrian island to your left.

Public Transit Buses

The Sun Tran municipal transit system provides scheduled service from the stop located on the first pedestrian island outside the terminal. Public transit routes in Tucson currently operate fare-free across the city:

• Route 11: connects the airport with Roy Laos Transit Center, Banner University Medical Center, Palo Verde High School, and Tucson Botanical Gardens, running every 30 to 60 minutes on weekdays from 5:25 am to 11:00 pm, Saturdays from 5:35 am to 7:35 pm, and Sundays from 5:55 am to 6:55 pm.
• Route 25: provides a direct link to Roy Laos Transit Center, Downtown Tucson, Ronstadt Transit Center, and the Greyhound Bus Station, operating weekdays from 4:10 am to 11:40 pm, Saturdays from 5:40 am to 7:40 pm, and Sundays from 6:25 am to 7:25 pm.

Official Taxis

Taxi ranks are located outside the lower baggage claim level across the first two roadways on the second pedestrian island. Authorized operators include VIP Taxi and Yellow Cab. Travel time to downtown Tucson is approximately 20 minutes, with a typical minimum starting fare of around USD 12.00.
