Facilities and services

Kahului Airport's terminal provides a solid selection of passenger services, dining options, and retail stores, primarily concentrated along the airside concourses on the second level.

Finance & Connectivity

  • ATMs: Cash machines are available on the ground floor (ticketing lobby and baggage claim areas) and on the second floor beyond airport security.
  • Wi-Fi Access: Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided throughout the terminal, with optional paid high-speed connections for bandwidth-heavy work.
  • Mobile Device Charging: Dedicated charging stations and power seating are located at boarding gate waiting areas.

Food & Beverages

Most restaurants and eateries are situated on the second level post-security. Options include Hawaiian sit-down dining, quick-service burger chains, grab-and-go sandwich shops, full-service bars, and Starbucks coffee outlets. Pre-security offerings are limited to grab-and-go snacks and refreshments.

Shopping

Duty-free retail for international travelers, specialty island boutiques featuring Hawaiian gifts (macadamia nuts, Maui coffee, local confections, and fresh flower leis), surf and resort apparel shops, newsstands, and bookstores.

Baggage Services

Luggage carts are available for rent from automated dispensers in the baggage claim hall and departure lobbies. Due to federal aviation safety regulations, no public storage lockers or left-luggage facilities exist inside the terminal.

Lost & Found: Operated by the airport division on the ground level opposite the baggage claim area (airport ID office). Phone: +1 808 872 3421 (open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm). For items left on an aircraft, contact your airline directly.

Other Services

An open-air cultural garden located in the central courtyard showcasing native Hawaiian flora, first aid care, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), nursing suites for mothers, and designated service animal relief areas indoors and outdoors.

How to get into a lounge

  1. Lounge membership: programs like Priority Pass give access to independent lounges in many airports, for an annual fee or per visit.
  2. Credit cards: some premium cards include lounge visits. Check whether your card covers the lounges at OGG and how many guests you can bring.
  3. Ticket or status: business and first class tickets, and frequent flyer status with an airline or its alliance, usually give access to the airline's lounges.
  4. Day pass: many lounges sell entry at the door when there is space. Prices and rules vary.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a lounge at Kahului airport (OGG) without a business class ticket?

Usually yes: many lounges accept lounge memberships such as Priority Pass, some premium credit cards, airline status or a paid day pass at the door. Each lounge sets its own rules, so check the conditions of the one you want to use.
