London Luton Airport has a modern and efficient transport infrastructure that connects it with central London and various key locations across the United Kingdom.

Trains

The rail connection is the fastest way to reach the city centre. The journey is divided into two coordinated segments:

• Luton DART: An automated transport system that connects the airport terminal with Luton Airport Parkway railway station in approximately 4 minutes. It operates 24 hours a day with a high frequency (every 5 minutes during peak times).
• Luton Airport Express: Operated by East Midlands Railway, it offers direct services to St Pancras International station with a frequency of two trains per hour and a journey time of around 32 minutes.
• Thameslink: Provides frequent connections to central London (Blackfriars, City Thameslink, Farringdon, St Pancras International) and direct services to the south, reaching Gatwick Airport and Brighton, and to the north, including Bedford, Sheffield and Derby.

Buses

Bus stops are located just outside the terminal exit. Services operate regularly, connecting the airport with London and other air terminals:

• National Express: Routes A1 (to Victoria Station) and A2 (to Paddington) operate frequently throughout the day. It also provides direct connections to Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports, as well as cities such as Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge.
• Green Line: Service 757 connects the airport with London Victoria, stopping at key points including Brent Cross, Finchley Road, Baker Street and Marble Arch.
• Stagecoach: Route MK1 links the airport with the town of Luton and Milton Keynes station.

Taxis and Ride-sharing

The airport’s official taxi partner is Hackney Carriage. You can book your vehicle in advance or request one at the office located outside the terminal. The journey time to central London usually ranges between 60 and 90 minutes depending on traffic.

Uber: The service is available and has a designated passenger pick-up area in the Pick Up Zone, located just a few minutes’ walk from the terminal. Follow the instructions in the app once you have requested the service.
