Bus - There are 3 services from National Express West Midlands (Tel +44 121 254 7272) that access the airport: X1 - Birmingham, Deritend, Yardley, Sheldon, Meriden, Coventry; X12 - Birmingham, Castle Bromwich, Chelmsley, Solihull; 75/75A - Birmingham International Station, Coleshill, Water Orton, Curdworth, Minworth, Sutton Coldfield. Journey time to the city centre is around 25 minutes. Tickets for a day have a cost of £2.30 and can be acquired from the driver.
There are also buses from National Express (Tel +44 871 781 8181) to different destinations in the country, including Birmingham, Oxford, Luton, Milton Keynes and Manchester.
Megabus (Tel +44 871 266 3333) provides low-cost transportation (fares from £1.00) to several locations throughout the country.
Train - The Air-Rail Link system is free and connects the enclosure with Birmingham International Station in 2 minutes from 3:30 am to 0:30 am (replaced by a courtesy bus at other times). Virgin Trains (Tel +44 344 556 5650) depart from there to New Street, in the city centre, with a trip of 12 minutes and a fare of £3.90, to London Euston (2 hours; £50.00) and Wolverhampton.
London Northwestern Railway (Tel +44 333 311 0006) offers services to New Street, London Euston, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Rugby.
Services from Cross Country (Tel +44 844 811 0124) run to Manchester Piccadilly, Bournemouth, Birmingham New Street, London Euston, Northampton and Coventry.
