Overnight Stays: Resting Areas

Jacksonville International Airport terminal is open 24 hours a day. However, when TSA security checkpoints close overnight (shortly after the evening's final scheduled departure), passengers without access to the airside concourses must remain landside in the public departures or arrivals lobbies until security reopens around 4:00 am.

Padded armless benches and comfortable seating are available in the pre-security central courtyard and dining areas. The terminal is relatively quiet during overnight hours, but bringing warm layers, earplugs, and an eye mask is recommended to counteract constant terminal lighting and nighttime announcements.

Luggage Storage

There are no luggage storage lockers or baggage hold facilities in the terminal. Travelers must keep their personal belongings with them at all times.

Overnight Food and Drinks

Food concessions and cafes are closed overnight between approximately 9:00 pm and 5:00 am. Travelers arriving late should purchase food in advance or utilize automated snack and beverage vending machines in public lobbies.
