Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Spending the night at the airport
Dulles airport is very crowded and is open 24 hours a day, so you will be able to spend the night inside the enclosure if you have a flight early in the morning, and thus avoid extra expenses in accommodations and transfers. Make sure to bring something warm and earplugs for a better rest.
Where to rest: Seats in the public area of the terminal have armrests, but after the security controls you will find more comfortable benches, particularly in concourses C and D. There are also VIP lounges with more amenities and privacy, but these are closed at night. In turn, a Marriot Hotel is located opposite the Terminal.
Baggage: The terminal does not operate luggage storage offices, so you will have to keep your bags with you until check-in.
Eating and drinking: The Dulles Gourmet Market located in Baggage Claim 14, is open 24 hours a day.
Restrooms: Showers available inside the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: Free access.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, chapel, baby care rooms, children's playground.
