Comayagua (XPL) airport

Regular executive bus and minibus services (such as Transportes V Estrellas and authorized operators) connect the terminal directly with Toncontín Airport in Tegucigalpa and downtown Comayagua. The trip to Tegucigalpa takes between 60 and 90 minutes via the CA-5 highway, while the journey to Comayagua takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the counters in the arrivals hall.

Authorized taxis are available 24 hours a day outside the arrivals hall and operate under a fixed zone-based fare system depending on the destination. It is recommended to arrange the service at the official counters inside the terminal. Rideshare platforms such as Uber may operate in the area, although for long-distance intercity trips to Tegucigalpa, it is preferable to arrange a private transfer in advance.

Yes, the airport provides free Wi-Fi internet access throughout the passenger terminal, both in the public arrivals and departures areas and in the boarding lounges.

Yes, the VIP Lounge is located in the north wing of the international departures area, next to Gate 12 (past the Duty Free area). It is open daily during daytime hours (typically from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) and offers access through programs such as Priority Pass, DragonPass, LoungeKey, Diners Club, premium bank cards from institutions such as Banco Atlántida, or by purchasing a day pass directly at the reception desk.

You will find ATMs operated by banks such as Banco Atlántida, offering withdrawals in Honduran lempiras and U.S. dollars, as well as bank branch counters and foreign currency exchange booths in the public departures and arrivals areas.

You can purchase prepaid SIM cards from Honduras's main mobile operators (Tigo and Claro) at convenience stores and retail kiosks located in the terminal's public hall.

The airport currently does not offer luggage storage or baggage lockers due to aviation security requirements. However, in the public departures area, you can find a baggage wrapping service that provides protective plastic wrapping and sealing for suitcases before check-in.

If your checked baggage did not arrive or was damaged, you should file a claim immediately at your airline's service desk before leaving the customs area. For belongings left behind in public areas or terminal entrances, go to the Lost and Found office or ask at the passenger experience and assistance desk.

There is no hotel inside the terminal building; however, Tru By Hilton Distrito Palmerola is located just 800 meters away in the commercial complex adjacent to the airport. In addition, a variety of hotels are available in downtown Comayagua (10–15 minutes away), with taxi service connecting the area to the airport.
