Tegucigalpa airport (TGU)

Toncontín International Airport, opened in 1934, is the busiest in the country. Due to recent accidents, its geographic position and short runway, it will only operate with small-size planes once Palmerola Airport is concluded. It operates with domestic flights and international destinations in the United States and Central America.

Public and private transportation

Bus - City buses are not allowed to run through downtown Tegucigalpa, but line 24 travels to the area of Lomas, with an estimated time of 30-35 minutes.

Taxi - Vehicles available outside the passenger terminal. Fares within the urban area are fixed, otherwise, they must be agreed upon with the driver. The trip to the city centre takes between 15 and 25 minutes.
