The public pre-security area of the terminal remains open 24 hours for travelers with early flights or cancellations. However, the secure concourses past TSA screening close every night around 9:00 pm, requiring all overnight passengers to stay in the pre-security section until checkpoints reopen at 4:00 am.

TARC Route 2 connects the terminal directly with Downtown Louisville in roughly 30 minutes. Buses stop along the outer roadway on the lower arrivals level.
