Location

The airport is located on Carretera Costera Km. 6.5, about 2 km (1.2 miles) northwest of downtown Puerto Escondido, in the state of Oaxaca.

Official Taxis

Authorized on-site taxis are available immediately outside the terminal exit. Rides are booked via prepaid tickets at the official booth in the arrivals hall, with fixed zoned fares. Fares to downtown Puerto Escondido, Bacocho, or Zicatela range between $150 and $300 MXN (approx. 8 to 15 USD).

Shared Vans and Shuttles

Shared minivans depart from the terminal with a ticket counter inside, costing between $60 and $100 MXN per passenger depending on destination. Walking out to the highway allows access to local colectivo route vans charging $8 to $15 MXN.

Private vehicle transfers can be booked in advance through your lodging or local agencies, with typical rates between $400 and $700 MXN (20 to 35 USD) per trip.

Ridesharing Apps

Ridesharing apps such as Uber or DiDi are neither available nor authorized to pick up passengers at the airport or across the Oaxaca coast due to local transport regulations.

The facility provides an open-air lot accommodating approximately 26 to 50 vehicles, just steps away from the terminal entrance doors.

Rates and Conditions

Access is managed through an entry checkpoint with hourly/fractional billing as well as daily flat rates for long-term stays. Valet parking and remote shuttle lots are not available.
