Punta del Este International Airport, also known as Laguna del Sauce International Airport and opened on December 24, 1993, is an important air terminal in Uruguay, especially on the summer season. It operates with regular and seasonal flights to some countries in South America.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus (24 hours a day) and free Wi-Fi access. The Aeropuertos VIP Club lounge is located at the end of the pre-boarding area and opens around the clock; it provides air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, telephones, fax, TV, refreshments, drinks, Wi-Fi (access with Aeropuertos VIP Club, Priority Pass, DragonPass or Diners Club membership, or by paying at the door - USD70.00).
Food and Drinks- Coffee shops are available both before and after the security control.
Shopping- Duty-free articles in the Departures area, clothing, accessories, jewellery, books, newspapers and magazines.
Baggage- Trolleys available for free. Secure plastic wrapping in the main hall. Lost property should be accounted for at the desk of the corresponding airline or by calling Tel +598 4255 9777.

Bus - There are direct bus and mini-bus services to the city operated by COT (Tel +598 4248 6810 / 3558), that depart from a covered area outside the Arrivals Hall. More information
Taxi - Ranks are located in a covered area of the Arrivals Hall and the reservation offices operate on weekdays from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. More information: Tel +598 4255 9100 / 9868 0067 / 9277 2121 / 9990 8321. There are also vehicles from Remises Punta del Este (Tel +598 4244 1269 / 9941 3045). The trip to the city centre takes around 30 minutes.
The enclosure has an uncovered parking lot in front of the terminal. The first 10 minutes of stay are free. Fees must be paid for at the counters situated inside the terminal. Fees
Facilities at the enclosure include ramps, escalators, lifts and adapted restrooms. Passengers requiring special assistance should contact their airline before their arrival.
