Transfer to/from - Narita Tokyo airport (NRT)

Buses

The airport has an extensive bus network connecting the terminals with central Tokyo and various cities throughout the Kanto region. Ticket counters are located in the arrivals halls of Terminals 1 and 2, and on the first floor of Terminal 3.

Airport Limousine: This premium service connects the airport with Tokyo's main hotels, key railway stations such as Shinjuku and Shibuya, and Haneda Airport (journey times of between 65 and 85 minutes). It is ideal for passengers travelling with heavy luggage, as it offers direct assistance.

Low-cost buses (LCB): The most economical option is the Airport Bus TYO-NRT, which links the airport with Tokyo Station and Ginza, with frequent departures throughout the day. Other budget services operate to stations such as Ikebukuro and Osaki, as well as various destinations in Chiba and Kanagawa Prefectures.

Regional connections: There are also direct long-distance routes to destinations such as Yokohama, Saitama, Tochigi and Ibaraki, and even overnight services to more distant areas including Osaka, Kyoto and Sendai.

Hotel shuttles: The airport provides a dedicated area for complimentary shuttle buses transporting passengers to hotels located around the Narita airport complex. These services depart from designated stops on the arrivals level of each terminal.

Trains

The railway stations are located on the B1 level of Terminals 1 and 2. Passengers arriving at Terminal 3 must travel to Terminal 2 via the pedestrian walkway or the free inter-terminal shuttle bus.

Keisei Electric Railway:

• Skyliner: The fastest service, connecting the airport with Nippori Station (36 minutes) and Ueno Station (41 minutes). All seats are reserved and a special fare ticket is required.
• Access Express: Connects the airport with the Oshiage Line and the Asakusa subway network, providing easy access to areas such as Nihombashi and Ginza, while also offering a direct connection to Haneda Airport.
• Keisei Main Line: The company's most affordable option, with stops at intermediate stations on its way to the city centre.

JR (East Japan Railway Company):

• Narita Express (N'EX): A premium service operating every 30-60 minutes to major stations such as Tokyo (53 min), Shinagawa, Shibuya, Shinjuku and Yokohama. All seats require advance reservation and the service is covered by the Japan Rail Pass.
• JR Sobu Line (Rapid Service): A regular train service, slower but without any additional reservation fee, reaching Tokyo Station in approximately 90 minutes.

Taxis

You will find clearly marked taxi ranks at all three terminals: rank 15 at Terminal 1, ranks 28 and 31-A at Terminal 2, and a dedicated area in front of Terminal 3. The journey to central Tokyo usually takes between 60 and 90 minutes, depending largely on traffic conditions.

In addition to metered taxis, there is a fixed-fare system for transfers to specific districts of Tokyo, allowing passengers to know the cost in advance (although motorway tolls and night-time surcharges between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am are not included).
