Transfer to/from - Monterrey airport (MTY)

The airport is located about 24 km from downtown Monterrey. Driving time generally ranges between 30 and 50 minutes depending on local traffic and your destination within the metropolitan area.

Public Transit Bus (Ruta Aeropuerto - Y Griega)

An affordable urban bus route links the airport terminal area directly to the Y Griega station on Line 1 of the Metrorrey metro system. Tickets cost roughly $15 to $20 MXN per trip and can be paid when boarding or via transit cards.

Shared Shuttles & Point-to-Point Minibuses

Authorized collective transport companies (Totsa, TPA, Suburban, Transporte Ejecutivo, and Golden Transportaciones) operate shared van services to key hubs around Monterrey:

• Downtown Route: Drop-off at Pabellón M.
• San Pedro Route: Drop-off at Camino Real Hotel.
• South Route: Drop-off at ITESM Rectoría (Tec de Monterrey).
• Fare is approximately $200 MXN per passenger, with tickets purchased at automated kiosks located in Terminal A. The designated boarding curb is situated directly outside the central entrance of Terminal A.

Regional Intercity Coaches

Ticket desks and direct departure services are available connecting Monterrey Airport to regional cities in northeastern Mexico, including Saltillo, Reynosa, and Monclova.

Ride-Sharing Apps (Uber / DiDi)

Ride-hailing apps operate at the airport. Passenger pickup is conducted at designated curbside zones outside the terminal exits (primarily outside Terminal A). Passengers should confirm the pickup spot and estimated fare within the app before meeting the driver.

Private Door-to-Door Transfers

For a hassle-free, comfortable ride directly to your hotel, office, or residence, you can arrange a private chauffeured transfer in advance. Your driver will meet you at the terminal exit holding a sign with your name. You can book this service via platforms such as Civitatis.

For safety and guaranteed fares, passengers are strongly advised to hire official federal concession taxis. Official taxi desks operate 24 hours a day in the arrivals concourses of Terminals A, B, and C, where fares can be prepaid.
