Nighttime Terminal Closure

Quad Cities International Airport is not open 24 hours. The terminal building closes daily after the arrival of the last scheduled flight (around midnight) and reopens at 3:30 a.m. Once daily flight operations cease, the secure airside concourse is cleared and locked down for security reasons.

Overnight Stays and Stranded Passengers

In instances of extreme weather or unexpected flight cancellations, stranded travelers may be permitted to remain overnight in the public pre-security area (landside) subject to prior approval from Airport Public Safety officers. During overnight hours, all restaurants and concessions are closed; only vending machines, public restrooms, electrical outlets, and complimentary Wi-Fi remain accessible. Most seating includes fixed armrests, and no showers, cots, or dedicated rest areas are provided.

There are no on-site hotels or sleeping pods located within the passenger terminal.
