List of Airlines at MDW Airport
The following is a list of airlines serving Chicago Midway airport (MDW)
Please note: Contact details and schedules, airline offers, and routes may vary according to the season and the commercial decisions of each company, so it is always advisable to check the available flights on the official website of the airport or airline before planning your trip.
Airlines and Concourse Operations
All airline ticketing and check-in counters are located on the Upper Level (Level 2) of the main terminal building. Access to all boarding gates across Concourses A, B, and C is provided through a single centralized TSA security checkpoint.
Concourse A
- Allegiant Air: domestic non-stop routes to leisure destinations across the United States.
- Delta Air Lines / Delta Connection: frequent domestic hub connections to Atlanta, Detroit, and Minneapolis/St. Paul.
- Frontier Airlines: crew base offering non-stop domestic and international routes (Cancún, Punta Cana, San Juan, Denver, Orlando, Las Vegas, and others).
- Porter Airlines: scheduled international non-stop flights connecting to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) in Canada.
- Southwest Airlines: shares gates in Concourse A for domestic and select international departures.
- Volaris: non-stop international flights connecting Chicago with destinations in Mexico, including Guadalajara, Morelia, León/Guanajuato, and Zacatecas.
Concourses B and C
- Southwest Airlines: the airport's dominant carrier, concentrating the vast majority of its operations at the 26 gates of Concourse B and 3 gates of Concourse C, offering direct flights to over 80 destinations across the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Issues to resolve with the Airline before or after the trip (Updated 2026)
Guide or assistance dogs: they usually travel free of charge in the cabin, but you should notify the airline at least 48 hours in advance and carry the required documentation (identification, vaccination record and health certificate). Do not leave this until you are at the airport.
Pro Tip: Download your airline's app and check its online check-in window, which is often earlier for international flights. Arrive at the airport 3 hours in advance for international flights. In the Schengen Area, the new Entry/Exit System (EES) registers fingerprints and a facial image of non-EU travelers at the border, which can add time on your first entry.
