José Marí­a Córdova International Airport, locally known as Rionegro Airport and opened on June 30, 1985, serves the city of Medellí­n. The airport is located in the municipality of Rionegro, 29 km (18 miles) southeast of Medellí­n.

The airport has a circular outdoor parking lot in front of the terminal building, available 24 hours a day, with short and long-term options. There are specific areas designated for motorcycles and passengers with reduced mobility.
