Layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Spending the night at the airport
Lisbon airport is very friendly for those passengers that have a flight early in the morning and have to spend the night inside the enclosure. The terminals remain open 24 hours a day, although most services close down after midnight. It is recommended to have blankets or a sleeping bag, as the air conditioning is usually strong.
Where to rest: Although both terminals remain open, Terminal 1 is more comfortable, while in Terminal 2 there are more gastronomic and shopping options, but everything is close after midnight. Next to gates S19 and S20 of Terminal 1 there are special rest zones. There are also couches by the food court and on the upper level, and quiet corners near gates 40-50. Another option is to enter one of the VIP lounges, where you can access more amenities and privacy. The only problem is that they close at night. On the other hand, there are two hotels next to Terminal 1.
Baggage: Near car park P2 there is an office available 24 hours a day where you can leave your bags for a lighter rest, without the worry of looking out for them.
Eating and drinking: In Terminal 1 there are some eateries both in the public area and the boarding hall that remain open throughout the night.
Restrooms: Showers available inside the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: Access is free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing rooms, children's play area.
The hotels TRYP Lisboa Aeroporto Hotel and Star Inn Lisbon Airport are located next to Terminal 1. In the city centre there is a wide offer, and some options provide complimentary shuttle services.
