Lajes Airport, opened on October 4, 1930, is the air gateway to Terceira Island, in the Azores archipelago. In addition to domestic destinations within the islands, it operates flights to mainland Europe, the United States and Canada.

The airport is situated 4 km (2 miles) southeast of the city of Lajes.

Open-air parking areas are available along the airport access road, in front of the terminal building and approximately 50 metres away, all with pedestrian access to the main building.

If you require special assistance, request the appropriate services in advance, 36 to 48 hours before your arrival. Once at the airport, report to the meeting point at the south end of the check-in area.
