Juneau International Airport's terminal remains open 24 hours a day, allowing passengers with overnight layovers, early-morning flights, or weather delays to rest inside the facility.

Most seating in the pre-security lobby consists of standard benches with armrests, though some softer, padded benches can be found around the baggage claim area. Travelers who plan to sleep on the floor frequently set up near the quieter commuter airline offices with a travel mat and sleeping bag. Once the TSA checkpoint closes for the evening, all overnight passengers must stay on the landside (public) area until morning security resumes.

Keep in mind that dining outlets and retail concessions do not stay open overnight, closing after the final scheduled flight departures. Travelers should purchase food, snacks, and water earlier in the day. The building is climate-controlled and monitored by security, but regular automated public announcements occur through the night, making earplugs or noise-canceling headphones essential for uninterrupted rest.
