Spending the Night at the Airport

Cleveland Hopkins Airport remains open 24 hours a day and permits ticketed travelers to stay overnight for early departures or late-night connections. Keep in mind that TSA security checkpoints close overnight (around 10:00 pm). At that point, concourses are cleared and all passengers must relocate to the public landside area until screening checkpoints reopen around 3:15 am - 3:45 am.

Sleeping and Resting Areas

Most landside seating features fixed armrests, leading many overnight travelers to rest in food court booths or quieter corners on the lower arrivals level. The terminal can feel cool at night with ambient overhead music playing, so packing a light blanket or jacket and earplugs is strongly recommended.

Concessions close overnight and begin reopening for morning coffee and breakfast between 4:30 am and 5:00 am. Only automated snack and drink vending machines remain accessible during the night.
