Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all regular services and hours may be subject to change. Thus, if the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are close to boarding.
Spending the night at the airport
The airport operates with numerous flights, so movement is usually constant and the terminals remain open 24 hours a day.
Where to rest: You will find benches without armrests and sofas throughout the enclosure. In addition, some bars have ideal seats for resting, for example, opposite the supermarket of Terminal 1. You can also opt for one of the VIP lounges, where you can access more amenities. The only problem is that they close at night. On the other hand, there are several hotels in the vicinity, and some of them offer shuttle services.
Baggage: Luggage storage offices operate from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. This means you will have to keep your baggage with you until checking-in.
Eating and drinking: Terminal 1 offers an option that is open 24 hours a day.
Wi-Fi: It is free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, gas station, supermarket.
300 meters away from the enclosure is located the Leonardo Hotel Köln Bonn Airport. Other accommodations in the vicinity include:
