Transfer to/from - Jakarta airport (CGK)

Trains

The KAI Bandara train service (formerly Railink) provides a fast and efficient connection between the airport and the city centre. The airport railway station is linked to the three passenger terminals via the free Skytrain (Kalayang) system.

The journey to Manggarai station (a major transport hub in central Jakarta) takes approximately 50-55 minutes. Other intermediate stops include BNI City (Sudirman Baru), Duri and Batu Ceper. Services generally operate between 5:00 am and 10:30 pm, with frequencies ranging from 30 to 60 minutes. Tickets can be purchased from the station's ticket machines or via the official app.

Buses

The state-owned company Damri operates an extensive network of buses connecting the airport with various locations across the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area and surrounding cities. Vehicles depart from designated areas at all terminals.

• Destinations within Jakarta: Gambir (city centre), Rawamangun, Blok M, Kampung Rambutan, Pasar Minggu, Tanjung Priok and Kemayoran. The journey to the city centre usually takes around 70-90 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
• Regional destinations: Bogor, Bekasi, Depok, Tangerang, Serang, Karawang and Purwakarta.

Other bus services:

• Transjakarta: In March 2026, route SH2 (Blok M - Airport) was inaugurated with a promotional fare. Route SH1 from Kalideres also operates. Services run from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm with frequencies of approximately 10 to 20 minutes.
• JA Connexion: Provides direct transport between the airport and several major hotels and shopping centres in the Jabodetabek area.
• Services to Bandung: Companies such as Primajasa, Citi Trans, Jackal Holidays and X-Trans offer direct transfers to the city of Bandung and nearby areas such as Bintaro and Puncak.

Taxis

Taxis are available 24 hours a day from the ranks located outside the arrivals halls. It is advisable to use the queue management system, where you will receive a ticket showing your assigned vehicle number.

• Regular taxis (Blue): Mainly operated by Blue Bird and Gamya. They are the most common and reliable option and use taximeters.
• Executive taxis (Black): The premium Silver Bird service offers high-end vehicles and bilingual drivers, with higher fares.

The trip to the city centre may take between 45 and 90 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Please note that motorway tolls are usually charged separately.

Ride-hailing Apps

Grab and Gojek operate legally at the airport. Both have clearly signposted pick-up points within the terminals and even provide small waiting lounges with assistance staff. You must request a vehicle through the app and proceed to the designated area to meet your driver.
