The airport features counters for authorised companies offering car hire services with or without a driver, located in the public arrivals areas of its terminals. To ensure vehicle availability, it is advisable to make a reservation in advance.

Requirements for Hiring a Vehicle

If you choose a self-drive car hire option (without a driver), please note that companies require the following documents and conditions at their counters:

• Minimum age: The driver must be over 21 years old (some special or premium vehicle categories may require a minimum age of 23 or 25).
• National driving licence: A valid driving licence issued in your country of residence, held for at least one year.
• International Driving Permit (IDP): Indonesian law requires that your national driving licence be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit.
• Passport: Original identity document and a valid passport to verify entry details into the country.
• Credit card: An international credit card in the name of the main driver with sufficient funds to cover the security deposit or rental guarantee.
