Spending the night at the airport

Although Austin airport is not very large, the Barbara Jordan Terminal is open 24 hours a day, so if you have a flight early in the morning or if your flight is delayed, you will be able to spend the night inside the enclosure, and thus avoid extra expenses in accommodations and transfers. Keep in mind that you will have to remain in the public area once the security checkpoints close at night. There will probably be loud overhead announcements throughout the night, so it is recommended to have headphones or earplugs.

Where to rest: There are generally few seats, but you will find a bigger number in the baggage reclaim hall. Some of the departure gates are currently out of use, so if you have a sleeping bag and you do not mind to lay on the floor, they are a quiet place where to rest for a bit. The airport's VIP lounges offer more amenities, but they close at night. Finally, there is a hotel inside the grounds, and more options in the vicinity that operate shuttle services.

Baggage: The terminals do not operate luggage storage offices.

Eating and drinking: In addition to vending machines, there is a coffee shop in the Barbara Jordan Terminal that is open during the night.

Wi-Fi: Free for 4 hours.
