Terminals

The airport complex operates two primary passenger terminals:

• South Terminal: Serves all scheduled domestic operations, intra-Alaska bush and regional flights, interstate mainline carriers, and passenger check-in and departures for selected international routes. It is organized into three concourses: Concourse A (gates A1 to A12), Concourse B (gates B1 to B12), and Concourse C (gates C1 to C9).
• North Terminal: Handles passenger charter operations, military flights, and the Federal Inspection Services (FIS) customs and immigration facility for arriving international flights.

Both terminal facilities remain open 24 hours a day and are linked by a free airport shuttle bus running every 15 to 20 minutes around the clock, providing connections to the consolidated Rental Car Center and airport parking lots.

Information Desks

Visitor Information Centers are situated on Level 1 of the South Terminal (in the baggage claim area) and in the main lobby of the North Terminal. Volunteer staff and airport representatives provide maps, regional tourism brochures, and assistance with ground transportation and connecting flights.

Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport provides several convenient on-site parking options accommodating short-term visitors as well as long-term travelers, with 24-hour security patrols.

Parking Facilities

• South Terminal Short-Term Parking Garage: Covered multi-story garage situated directly opposite the South Terminal, ideal for passenger pick-ups, drop-offs, and short visits.
• North Terminal Parking Lot: Surface parking lot located directly in front of the North Terminal.
• South Terminal Long-Term Lot: Open-air surface lot situated near the South Terminal, designed for multi-day parking stays (up to 90 days maximum).
• Park, Ride & Fly Lot: Cost-effective long-term economy lot situated along International Airport Road, linked to both terminals by a complimentary on-demand shuttle running every 15 to 20 minutes.
• Cell Phone Waiting Lot: Free waiting area situated two minutes from the terminals, allowing motorists to park and wait at no charge until their arriving passengers collect their bags.

Important Notes

Grace Period: Parking is free for the first 30 minutes in the South Terminal Short-Term Garage, Long-Term Lot, and North Terminal Lot.

Electric Vehicle Charging: EV charging stations are available in the South Terminal Parking Garage and North Terminal lot.

Accessible Parking: Designated ADA-compliant parking stalls are reserved closest to terminal skybridges and shuttle pick-up spots across all lots.

Infrastructure & Accessibility

Both passenger terminals feature step-free ramp access, ADA-compliant elevators equipped with tactile Braille buttons, automatic sliding doors, accessible unisex and family restrooms, and designated accessible parking spaces located adjacent to terminal skybridges. ANC also participates in the international Hidden Disabilities Sunflower program to support travelers with non-visible conditions.

Special Assistance Requests

Travelers requiring wheelchair transport from curbside to gate or specialized boarding assistance should notify their airline at least 48 hours prior to departure.
