Lisbon airport (LIS) 


Humberto Delgado Lisbon Airport, also known as Portela Airport and opened on October 15, 1942, is the largest in Portugal. It operates with domestic and international flights within Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South America and North America.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (international flights) and Terminal 2 (domestic flights). Open 24 hours a day and connected through free shuttles.

The airport is situated 7 km (4 miles) to the north of Lisbon.

Bus - The Aerobus (Tel +351 213 613 193) travels to the city centre, Entrecampos, Campo Pequeno, Saldanha, Picoas, Restauradores, Rossio, Praça do Comércio and Cais do Sodré every 20 minutes from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm (line 1), and to Entrecampos, Sete Rios, Praça de Espanha and Av. José Malhoa with a frequency of 40 min. between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm (line 2). A 24-hour ticket costs €3.50 and can be purchased from the driver or at the tourist office. Carris (Tel +351 213 500 115) operates several services from the enclosure. The fare is €1.85 and the trip to the downtown Lisbon takes around 20 min. On the other hand, 100 Rumos (Tel +351 935 886 536) provides shared transportation to different locations within the city.

Metro - The Linha Vermelha operates every 6-10 minutes from 6:30 am to 1:00 am and runs to Saldanha, in the city centre, in 20 min., with a cost of €1.40. Intermediate stops include Encarnação, Moscavide, Cabo Ruivo, Olivais, Chelas, Bela Vista, Olaias and Alameda. The station is located at the south end of Terminal 1. Train - At Gare do Oriente, the city's main station, you can catch trains from CP (Tel +351 707 210 220) to several cities around the country, such as Azambuja, Carregado, Alverca, Sacavém, Santa Apolónia, Rossio, Alcântara, Benfica, Amadora, Mira Sintra, Rio de Mouro, Algueirão, Portela.

Taxi - Cabs available around the clock outside Terminal 1. Journey time to Lisbon city centre is 25-45 minutes and has a fare of €10.00-15.00.

The airport has a bank, ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, post office, charging stations, mobile phone services, public telephones, internet kiosks and Wi-Fi access free of charge. Terminal 1 has a business center with meeting rooms. The Lounge ANA is located after the security control in Terminal 1, costs €25.00 and opens from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm; it provides drinks, snacks, computers with internet, Wi-Fi, charging stations, private cabins, showers, TV, newspapers and magazines, smoking area.

Food and Drinks- Inside both terminals there are restaurants, cafés, icecream stores, fast food outlets, pizza places and bakeries. First Café, Grab & Fly and Spoon Café, in Terminal 1, are open 24 hours a day.
- Duty-free shops in the Departures area of both buildings, gifts, books, press, tobacco, toys, jewellery, accessories, apparel, handicrafts, sweets, music, electronics, footwear, cosmetics, flowers.
- Porters available from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. 24-hour left luggage service next to parking lot P2 (Tel +351 218 413 594). Secure wrapping in the public area (Terminal 1 - from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm; Terminal 2 - from 5:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm; Tel +351 917 386 826). Several parking areas are available. Valet parking service (Tel +351 808 919 091) in the Departures area, from 6:00 am to 1:00 pm. In front of the Departures Hall there is a passenger pick-up and drop-off zone (Kiss & Fly), free for 10 minutes. Rates and reservations

P3 - Low cost, outdoor area, connected to the terminals through courtesy shuttles.
