Trondheim Værnes Airport, opened on October 21, 1961, is one of the most important in the country. It operates with domestic and international flights to destinations in Europe.

The airport has ATMs and free Wi-Fi access for 2 hours. The Radisson Blu Hotel, adjacent to the enclosure, has meeting and conference rooms. The SAS Café Lounge, situated next to gate 30, opens since one hour before the first flight until half an hour before the last; it offers Wi-Fi, snacks and drinks (access with EuroBonus Gold, Diamond or Silver membership, SAS Plus and business class passengers from Scandinavian Airlines, first or business class passengers from Star Alliance airlines, Star Alliance Gold members).

Bus - Services from Flybussen (Tel +47 4070 5070) are available to Sorgenfriveien, with stops at Leistadkrysset, Gildheim, Strindheim, Rosendal, Trondheim Central Station and Valøyveien. Travel time to the city centre is around 40 minutes.
Værnes-ekspressen (Tel +47 9057 4475) leaves from 7:40 am to 11:55 pm headed for Solsiden, Bakkegata, Lerkendal, Østre Berg, Moholt and Nidarvoll Skole, with a trip of 55 min.
4 minutes away from the terminal there is a stop from AtB (Tel +47 4780 2820), where you can board line 38 to Stjørdal, Hommelvik, Malvik, Vikhammer, Dronningens Gate, Melhus and Brekkåsen. Route 310 runs to Stjørdal, Hommelvik, Skovgård, Trondheim, Heimdal, Orkanger and Fannrem.
There are also services from Åre Flygtransfer (Tel +46 812 092 000) to accommodations in Åre, Vemdalen and Duved on Thursdays and Sundays.
Train - NSB (Tel +47 6105 1910) provides a local service to Hell, Hommelvik, Vikhammer, Rotvoll, Leangen, Lilleby, Lademoen and Trondheim that operates from 5:40 am to 11:45 pm. There is also an intercity train to Bodø, with intermediate stops at Stjørdal, Levanger, Steinkjer, Grong, Trofors, Mosjøen, Mo i Rana, Valnesfjord and Mørkved. The trip to Trondheim city centre takes 35 minutes.
Taxi - Directly outside the Arrivals Hall there are vehicles from Stjørdal Taxi (Tel +47 7483), Norgestaxi Trondheim (Tel +47 8000) and Trøndertaxi (Tel +47 7373). Journey time to the city centre is 25 minutes.
