Traveller reviews agree that the seating on the second floor (above the check-in area) is the best option. These are long, padded benches without armrests that allow you to stretch out. They are located in a quieter, more sheltered area. Another common alternative is the padded benches in the baggage reclaim area, although this is a busier space.

Practical tip: Look for seats next to columns or in more secluded corners for greater peace and privacy. The airport lounge (North Sea Lounge) closes overnight and is not available.

• Food and Drinks: No options are available overnight. All restaurants, cafés and bars close. Bringing water and some snacks from outside is essential.
• Wi-Fi: The airport offers free Wi-Fi access (in 4-hour sessions). It is a stable service and useful for entertainment.
• Luggage: There is no left-luggage service. You will need to keep your bags with you at all times, so a lock for your suitcase may be a good idea.
• Security: The atmosphere is generally considered safe. Cleaning staff and some travellers will be present, but there is no constant security presence or regular patrols throughout the night.
• Temperature: Due to Norway’s climate, the terminal can become quite cool during the early hours, so bringing blankets or warm clothing is recommended.
