Due to the compact architecture of the airport terminal, most of its VIP lounges are located in the public area (landside). This arrangement allows passengers to access lounge services both before departure and upon arrival, or even before completing the security screening process.

Advantage VIP Lounge

The Advantage chain operates three separate lounges within the terminal, designed to meet passengers' needs at different points during their journey through the airport:

• Boarding Area (Airside): Located after the X-ray security checkpoint, on the left, near the Federal Police station. It is an ideal option for passengers who prefer to wait close to the departure gates. Hours are from 4:30 am to 10:00 pm.
• Public Area - First Floor (Landside): Located near McDonald's and the entrance to the boarding area. This is the largest lounge and offers additional amenities such as showers. It operates from 4:00 am to 10:00 pm.
• Arrivals Area - Ground Floor (Landside): Located in the public arrivals area, next to the U.S. Consulate, and designed for passengers who have just landed or are waiting for transportation. Hours are from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Access: Access is available through Priority Pass, LoungeKey, or Diners Club memberships. Holders of Mastercard Black, Visa Infinite, and Elo Nanquim cards are also eligible. Walk-in access may be available for a fee, subject to availability.

Bradesco Cartões Lounge

This lounge offers an exclusive environment primarily aimed at business travelers and the bank's high-income customers.

Location: First floor of the terminal, in the pre-boarding area (public area), opposite the security checkpoints.

Hours: Daily from 5:30 am to 10:30 pm.

Services: Offers a snack buffet, coffee shop options, a variety of beverages, high-speed Wi-Fi, and relaxation areas.

Access: Exclusive to holders of Bradesco Visa Aeternum, Elo Diners Club, Elo Nanquim, and American Express cards (The Platinum Card and Centurion) issued in Brazil.

Emerald VIP Lounge by ADVT

This lounge was acquired by the Advantage Group in December 2025 and stands out for its modern design and personalized services.

Location: First floor, public area (pre-boarding), in the corridor connecting the terminal to Bossa Nova Mall.

Hours: From 5:00 am to 9:00 pm.

Services: A selection of hot and cold food, a bar, work areas, and views of the apron.

Access: Through programs such as Visa Airport Companion (DragonPass), agreements with select credit cards, or by purchasing a single-use pass.

 Facilities and other services

Santos Dumont Airport stands out for its direct connection to Bossa Nova Mall, an adjacent shopping center that significantly expands the range of services, dining, and shopping options available to passengers. This connection gives travelers access to a comprehensive infrastructure that combines the convenience of an airport terminal with the amenities of a modern shopping center, including privileged views of Guanabara Bay.

Wi-Fi: The airport offers free internet access throughout the terminal via the official Infraero network. To connect, passengers generally need to complete a brief registration through the access portal.

Financial Services: ATMs operated by Banco24Horas and major banks (Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, and Santander) are available in the arrivals hall and in the area connecting to the shopping center. Currency exchange offices are also available for travelers who need local currency.

Dining

The dining options are varied and strategically distributed between the terminal and the adjacent mall:

• Passenger Terminal: Offers a variety of cafés, traditional bakeries, and fast-food outlets located throughout the arrivals and boarding levels.
• Bossa Nova Mall: Features full-service restaurants with a diverse culinary selection, including several with terraces offering views of Sugarloaf Mountain and the port area.

Shopping

Stores and Boutiques: Passengers can find bookstores, pharmacies (Inter Farma), electronics stores, local Rio fashion boutiques, and souvenir shops. The integrated shopping center further expands the selection with internationally renowned brands.

Duty Paid (Dufry Shopping): Because the airport operates exclusively domestic flights, Dufry stores operate under the Duty Paid concept. This means that although they offer products from global brands (fragrances, beverages, and confectionery), prices include the applicable local taxes.

Baggage Services

Luggage Storage: The automated locker service is operated by Malex. It is located in the public area, near the entrance to the shopping center, and is available throughout the terminal's operating hours.

Protective Wrapping: The plastic luggage-wrapping service is available in the check-in hall before the baggage drop-off counters.

Lost and Found: The "Achados e Perdidos" office is operated by Infraero and is located in the arrivals area. Its hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (with a midday break), and it is closed on weekends and public holidays.

Other Services

Medical Assistance: A first-aid station is available inside the passenger terminal for medical emergencies.

Family Facilities: Nursing rooms and baby changing facilities are available in the main restrooms, both in public areas and in the boarding area.

Additional Services: The terminal offers shoe-shine services and charging stations for mobile devices throughout the waiting areas.
