Chatham Area Transit (CAT) runs route 100X Airport Express, an express service linking the airport directly to the Joe Murray Rivers Jr. Intermodal Transit Center in downtown Savannah, with a stop at Reynolds Square. It operates seven days a week (typically between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Saturday, with reduced hours on Sundays) for a standard fare of USD 1.50 each way.

Additionally, Coastal Regional Coaches provides regional rural curb-to-curb transit requiring reservations at least 24 hours in advance.

Ride-Sharing Services

Uber and Lyft operate on airport grounds. The dedicated pickup area is located outside the north entrance on the lower level by baggage claim.

Private shuttle operators and minibus companies provide pre-booked direct transfers to downtown Savannah, Hilton Head Island resort areas, and throughout the Lowcountry.

The trip to historic downtown Savannah takes between 20 and 25 minutes depending on traffic conditions, with standard fares ranging from USD 28.00 to USD 32.00. Travel to Hilton Head Island (South Carolina) takes approximately 50 to 60 minutes with established zone-based rates.

Local providers include Yellow Cab, Chatham Cab, 1st Choice Taxi, and dedicated island transport fleets.

Going to the airport
