Sleeping inside or in nearby hotels at PIE Airport

Overnight layover guide: sleeping options in the public area and the boarding area

Spending the Night at the Airport & Rest Areas

The public areas of the airport terminal remain open 24 hours a day, allowing travelers with early morning flights or overnight delays to stay inside. However, passengers should bear in mind that the facility offers very basic overnight comfort.

Most terminal seating units feature fixed armrests that prevent lying flat, so travelers spending the night often choose to rest on carpeted floor areas. Having a travel blanket, sleeping pad, or warm clothing is strongly advised, as air conditioning temperatures remain cool throughout the night.

Luggage Storage

There are no luggage lockers or left-luggage services available at the airport, so you will need to keep your bags with you at all times.

Overnight Dining

All restaurants, cafés, and retail stores close after the last daily flights depart. During overnight hours, food options are limited to automated vending machines in public areas.

Security and Wi-Fi

Complimentary Wi-Fi remains active through the night, and regular airport security patrols ensure a safe environment. For a restful sleep, booking an overnight stay at one of the nearby airport hotels is highly recommended.
