Spending the Night at the Airport

If you have an overnight layover or an early morning flight, you can stay inside the terminal building overnight, though specific operational rules apply.

Overnight Hours & Security Checkpoint Closure

The airport terminal building stays open 24 hours. However, the TSA Checkpoint B closes after the last departing flight of the night (between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm) and reopens at 3:00 am. As a result, the airside departure concourse is cleared, and overnight passengers must remain landside in the public areas until security reopens in the morning.

Rest Areas & Comfort

Seating in the public landside area consists primarily of metal and wooden benches with fixed armrests, making it difficult to lie down flat. Many overnight travelers rest sitting up or camp out on the floor using travel mats, blankets, or sleeping bags. Travelers are strongly advised to bring earplugs or noise-canceling headphones (routine nightly cleaning and early cargo aircraft movements can generate noise) and warm clothing due to air conditioning.

24-Hour Food & Drinks

Concessions and dining options inside the concourse close overnight. Only automated vending machines selling drinks and snacks remain operational in the landside public terminal.

Left Luggage & Lockers

The airport does not provide luggage storage or lockers due to TSA security regulations. Travelers must keep all personal belongings with them at all times.

Security, Wi-Fi & Around-the-Clock Amenities

Free high-speed Wi-Fi runs uninterrupted 24 hours. Airport Police (MAPD) regularly patrol the terminal, maintaining a safe environment. ATMs and baby care/nursing rooms remain accessible throughout the night.

There are no on-site hotels or sleeping pods located inside the airport terminal building. However, numerous hotels are situated in the immediate vicinity, many of which provide complimentary shuttle services for their guests (courtesy phones for hotel reservations and pickups are available in the baggage claim area).
