Transfer to/from - New York LaGuardia airport (LGA)

LaGuardia Airport connects to New York City and surrounding boroughs via MTA public transit, shared vans, app-based rides, and private shuttles.

Public Transit (MTA Bus)

MTA buses offer the most economical access to the New York City subway and regional rail network:

• LaGuardia Link (Q70 Select Bus Service): A free express bus connecting Terminals B and C directly to the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave subway station (lines 7, E, F, M, R) and the Woodside station (subway line 7 and Long Island Rail Road - LIRR). Travel time to the subway is approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
• M60 Select Bus Service: Connects all LGA terminals with Astoria (Queens, subway lines N and W) and 125th Street in Manhattan (Harlem and subway lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, A, B, C, D). Fare: $2.90 via OMNY contactless tap or MetroCard.
• Local Bus Lines Q47, Q48, and Q72: Connect terminals to Queens neighborhoods such as Flushing, Corona, and Glendale.

Uber Shuttle

Scheduled microbus service booked through the Uber app, offering five direct routes between LGA and central Manhattan, including Midtown, Times Square, 42nd St, 33rd St, West Village, and the World Trade Center.

Rideshare Apps (Uber / Lyft / Revel)

Designated app pickup zones are established at each terminal:

• Terminal A: Curbside across from the main entrance.
• Terminal B: Level 2 of the Terminal B Parking Garage (follow Car Services / App-Based Rides signs from arrivals).
• Terminal C: Lower level (arrivals) inner pickup lanes 10, 11, and 12.

Official Taxis (Yellow Cabs)

Official New York City yellow taxicabs depart from managed taxi stands with uniformed dispatchers:

• Terminal A: Curbside in front of the terminal.
• Terminal B: Level 2 of the Terminal B Parking Garage (adjacent to rideshare pickup).
• Terminal C: Level 1 (arrivals), outer curb.

Fares: Metered fares begin at $3.00, plus a $1.00 weekday peak surcharge (4:00 PM - 8:00 PM), a $0.50 overnight surcharge (8:00 PM - 6:00 AM), a $0.50 NY State tax, and a $2.00 Port Authority airport access fee. Trips to Midtown Manhattan typically run $35 to $60+, excluding bridge/tunnel tolls and tip. Never accept unsolicited rides inside the terminal.
