Covid-19: Regulations for travel to Cyprus

Vaccinations and travel rules for vaccinated people

Travelers who can present a valid certificate of complete vaccination against COVID-19, issued in specific countries, with the use of an approved vaccine, are exempt from the pre-departure test requirement. Vaccinated travelers are subject to testing upon arrival. These exemptions apply from the date of complete vaccination or 14 days after the administration of a single dose vaccine. Vaccination exemptions will only apply if the full dose and certificate were issued within the UK, Europe, the US, and other specific countries. You can find a full list of licensed vaccines and issuing countries at https://cyprusflightpass.gov.cy/en/vaccinated-passengersA copy of the vaccination certificate must be uploaded to the 'Cyprus Flight Pass'. The authenticity of the certificate will be verified by border control officials in the country of departure. Vaccine certificates issued in countries of the European Union and the European Economic Area are only accepted in digital format through the EU Digital Certificate. Citizens who can present a valid certificate issued in any country, with at least one dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, and who arrive without a valid negative test result, may travel but must undergo the COVID-19 test upon arrival and must -isolate until a negative test result is confirmed. All costs incurred will be borne by the traveler.

EU COVID digital certificate

 Tips before departing

  Make sure you arrive at Larnaca airport (LCA) at least 3 hours before the flight if it is an international flight or 2 if it is a domestic one.

  Check the luggage limits (size, weight, items forbidden, etc) with your airline.

  Have all the documentation to carry out the check in (ticket, passport, Visa).

  At the check-in desk (if necessary) you can check the big baggage, show your ticket (printed or in your phone) and passport and receive your boarding pass. In case you do not need to check a luggage, some airports have self-service check in kiosks where you can get and print your boardking pass.

  Then, at the security control area, if you bring a laptop or a similar device, in you cabin luggage, you will have to place it outside the hang bag. After passing the security area you will get in at the boarding zone. Check you boarding gate and wait the airline call, always having in hand your passport and boarding pass.

  If you are a handicapped passenger, you should coordinate your trip with your airline at least 48 hours in advance and check the  Disabled Passengers facilities. Enjoy your flight!
