William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is Houston’s second international airport and a primary operating hub for Southwest Airlines. Terminals
The airport operates via a single centralized two-level passenger terminal, open 24 hours. Post-security concourses are interconnected on foot within the same building: the Central Concourse primarily serves domestic operations, while the West Concourse accommodates both domestic and international departures and arrivals with Federal Inspection Services (FIS). The TSA security checkpoint is open daily from 3:30 am to 11:00 pm.

METRO Public Buses
Local public transportation network METRO operates from the outer sidewalk (Curb Zone 3) on Level 1 outside the baggage claim area. Standard one-way fare is USD 1.25:
- Route 40 (Telephone and Telegraph): Connects the airport directly to Downtown Houston (including the George R. Brown Convention Center) in approximately 60 minutes. Buses run every 15-30 minutes between 4:00 am and 0:05 am.
- Airport Transfer to George Bush Intercontinental (IAH): Passengers can take Bus 40 into Downtown Houston and transfer to express Route 102 heading to IAH Terminal C (total journey time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes; combined fare: USD 2.50).
- Additional local routes serving the surrounding area include Line 50 (Eastwood Transit Center, Magnolia), Line 73 (Fannin South Transit Center), and Line 88 (San Jacinto College South).

App-based transportation providers pick up passengers at designated zones along Level 1 arrivals curb. Fares to Downtown generally range from USD 25.00 to USD 40.00 depending on real-time demand.
Regional Shuttles
Sun Travel Airport Shuttle operates scheduled connections between HOU and Jack Brooks Regional Airport (Beaumont/Port Arthur) from Curb Zone 4. Regional coaches also include GroundShuttle (to College Station and Easterwood Airport) and Galveston Limousine Service (to Galveston Island and cruise terminals), along with door-to-door options from SuperShuttle.
