Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Please note that some published services and schedules may be subject to change. If the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are about to board.
Spending the night at the airport
Frankfurt-Hahn Airport does not offer many amenities. Although the terminal is open 24 hours a day, passengers staying overnight must remain in the public area once the security checkpoint closes. You may need earplugs or headphones due to noise disturbances.
Where to rest: Resting options inside the airport are limited, and most of the seating (which is scarce) is metal, though many lack armrests. Some carpeted floor areas can be found in certain corners. A more private alternative is to rest in the prayer room. There is a hotel located in front of the terminal, and more accommodation options nearby if your budget allows.
Baggage: Lockers are available 24 hours a day in car park P1.
Eating and drinking: In addition to vending machines, there is a
McDonald's in Hall A open throughout the night.
Wi-Fi: Free for 1 hour.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing facilities, prayer room.
