The airport is located 6 miles (about 10 km) northeast of Kalispell, Montana, right on US Highway 2 and within easy driving distance of Columbia Falls, Whitefish, and the west entrance to Glacier National Park.

Dining

Before security, travelers can find Flathead Mercantile and Montana Coffee Traders Express serving specialty roasted coffee and to-go items. Post-security options include On the Fly (hot and cold sandwiches, salads, burritos, and espresso), Goat Haunt Saloon (a full-service restaurant and bar featuring regional dishes and craft brews), and Wild Horse Cantina. Vending machines dispensing snacks and cold drinks are located in ticketing, baggage claim, and on the upper level by Gate 6.

Shopping

Flathead Mercantile offers Montana souvenirs, apparel, and local crafts. Next to baggage claim, Glacier Outfitters provides outdoor gear, trail maps, and rentals including bicycles, kayaks, and child carrier backpacks. Duty-free shopping is not available.

Luggage and Lost & Found

Luggage storage and locker facilities are not available due to security regulations. Smarte Carte luggage carts are available for a small fee. Lost items within the terminal or security checkpoint are tracked via the Boomerang platform and can be claimed at the third-floor administrative offices Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For items left on an airplane, contact your airline directly.

Public and private transportation

Driving times to neighboring towns range from 10 to 15 minutes to Kalispell or Columbia Falls, 20 minutes to Whitefish, and around 35 minutes to the West Glacier entrance. There are no public transit lines (bus or train) operating directly to the airport.

Taxis and Private Shuttles

Several local companies provide on-demand and pre-arranged transportation, including Kalispell Airport Taxi, Grab A Cab MT, Mountain Shuttle (mountainshuttlemt.com), Good Vibe Rides, 406Rides, Flathead Premier Shuttle, and Venture Shuttles (serving Bigfork and park destinations). Parking Lots

• Main Parking Lot: Located directly in front of the terminal building. The first 20 minutes are free; thereafter, rates are $2.00 USD per 20 minutes, up to a daily maximum of $18.00 USD and a weekly maximum of $108.00 USD.
• Cell Phone / Overflow Lot: Provides the first 2 hours free of charge, with subsequent rates of $2.00 USD per 20 minutes, a daily maximum of $15.00 USD, and a weekly maximum of $90.00 USD. RV parking is permitted in this lot with prior arrangement.
