Spending the Night at the Airport

Fresno Yosemite International Airport remains open 24 hours, making it possible for passengers with early morning flights or late arrivals to stay overnight. However, the TSA security checkpoint closes each night after the final departure and does not reopen until early morning (around 3:30 am to 4:00 am). Travelers who have not cleared security before closing must spend the night in the landside public terminal lobby.

Where to Rest

The landside public area offers standard benches near check-in counters and the arts gallery. Most seats are fitted with fixed armrests that prevent lying flat, so bringing a compact travel pad, sleeping bag, or blanket is advisable if resting on the floor. Earplugs and an eye mask are recommended, as terminal lighting stays fully on and public address announcements play periodically throughout the night.

Terminal eateries close late at night; however, vending machines dispensing snacks and cold drinks are accessible, alongside water bottle filling stations. The Hudson News outlet in Concourse B operates 24 hours for airside passengers. Wi-Fi is free and unrestricted, restrooms remain open, and airport public safety officers patrol the premises around the clock.
