Sleeping inside or in nearby hotels at ERI Airport

Overnight layover guide: sleeping options in the public area and the boarding area

Overnight Terminal Closure

Erie International Airport does not operate 24 hours a day and does not permit overnight stays. The passenger terminal closes roughly 45 minutes after the last arrival of the night and reopens about 2 hours prior to the first scheduled departure of the morning.

Late-Night Amenities and Accommodations

Because the building is locked overnight, no dining concessions, convenience shops, luggage lockers, or 24-hour waiting areas are accessible during late-night hours. Passengers with early departures or delayed itineraries should book accommodations in nearby Erie hotels.

 Hotels

There are no on-site hotels or sleeping pods inside the passenger terminal.

Hotels with Shuttle Services

Several local lodging properties provide coordinated or complimentary airport shuttle transportation for guests:

• Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel
• Courtyard by Marriott Erie Bayfront
• Hilton Garden Inn Erie
• Properties managed by Scott Enterprises

Nearby Hotels

A short drive from the airport along West 12th Street and around Millcreek Township, travelers can find numerous accommodations, including Glass House Inn, Clarion Hotel Lake Erie, Comfort Inn Presque Isle, Driftwood Motel, Golden Triangle Motel, and Riviera Motel.
