Terminal Hours and Overnight Stays

The public landside concourse at Dallas Love Field remains open 24 hours a day, allowing passengers with early morning flights or overnight itinerary delays to stay inside the building. However, the secure airside departure concourse closes once the final scheduled flight of the night departs, and the central TSA security checkpoint does not reopen until 4:00 AM. Travelers arriving during the late-night hours must remain in the public landside lobby until screening operations commence.

Rest Areas and Comfort

The terminal does not feature designated sleeping pods, transit rooms, or passenger shower facilities. Most public seating consists of standard metal benches fitted with fixed armrests, preventing travelers from lying flat across seats. Many overnight visitors choose to rest in an upright position or bring a travel mat for floor rest in less frequented corners of the lobby. Packing extra layers or a travel blanket is strongly recommended, as terminal air conditioning keeps temperatures cool overnight.

Overnight Services

Terminal concessionaires, bars, and retail shops conclude operations between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM, resuming service between 4:30 AM and 5:00 AM. Throughout the night, public restrooms, snack and beverage vending machines, ATMs, free Wi-Fi, and continuous airport security patrols remain active.

 Hotels

There are no on-site hotels located inside the Dallas Love Field terminal building, nor are there sleep cabins or transit pods. However, an extensive collection of lodging options is located just outside the airport grounds.

Several nearby properties offer complimentary scheduled shuttle vans to and from the airport terminal. Courtesy vehicles pick up passengers at the commercial curb on the Lower Level:
