Overnight Policy and Terminal Hours

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport does not stay open freely 24 hours a day. The terminal closes to the general public approximately 30 minutes after the arrival of the last scheduled flight (around midnight or 1:00 a.m.) and reopens at 4:00 a.m. However, airport authorities allow passengers with early morning flights to stay overnight inside the terminal, provided they contact an Airport Public Safety Officer upon arrival at +1 (406) 581-5490 to check in and show flight credentials.

Sleeping Conditions and Rest Areas

Overnight passengers must stay in the public landside area prior to security, as TSA checkpoints close during the night. Most seating benches feature fixed armrests that prevent lying flat, leading many travelers to sleep on the carpeted floor. It is strongly recommended to bring warm layers, a travel blanket, or a sleeping pad, as terminal temperatures drop significantly during Montana nights.

Overnight Services

Restrooms, ATMs, complimentary Wi-Fi, and public safety patrols remain active throughout the night. Concessions and dining options remain closed until 4:00 or 4:30 a.m., and there are no showers or left-luggage facilities available.
